MMAM is a fashion brand that introduces doodle elements to classic fashion items. The doodle elements capture a dynamic where the doodle on the fashion piece looks exactly like a drawing made by the hand of a child seemingly without form or direction. They view themselves as a brand that incorporates art into the apparel of a father who shares child care.
The brand creates a story with art that speaks to parenthood, to a combination of minimalist art on a canvas of fabric.
For MMAM, your apparel is a blank canvas. Each silhouette is incorporated with doodle elements performed unconsciously without thought to form or meaning. MMAM seeks to achieve a silhouette that blends minimalist and maximalist ideals within the same piece.
Imagine having a child’s first painting inscribed on apparel. This painting is the type you stick on a refrigerator with a magnet, that unbridled, uncontrolled piece of art that is both art and graffiti. The family holds a philosophical value for the brand which seeks to incorporate that first visual creative piece created and represented in fashion. Imagine a child placing dirtied hands flat on your clean white shirt, the imprint of the hand appearing fully emblazoned on the shirt.
For them, the family unit is the major inspiration for their creation. Their clothing apparel offers various artistic expressions all targeted at recreating that childish instinct to create art without bounds or control.
The MMAM brand has attended numerous fashion events including Seoul Fashion Week Trade Show, Hyundai Departmental Store, and Shanghai’s 2050 Showroom.
MMAM considers their creation wearable art, a concept that mothers and fathers present in the life of their infants can agree with.
