Hamcus is a brand that views fashion as a constantly evolving fictional universe replete with a storyline that can be traced to create a unique piece. For them, the individual looking to acquire a fashion piece is a character in this fictional universe for whom the ideal fashion piece is steeped deeply in a Cosmos character system.

The brand created a world known as “Dust Universe” and draws on the evolution story of different races within our regular society to create corresponding dress pattern that is unique and brimming with personality. This direction was influenced by a desire to avoid the limitations imposed by existing like many other fashion brands that buy into the trap of fashion’s rapid consumption and seasonal renewal pattern. The first story for Hamcus began with Primus dawn, SS/18 SOCIETY319 released in 2018, every other year after that, the evolution is traced from this marker which they made with their first release to create something unique and in so doing, avoid repetition and the cyclic drudgery of consumer fashion. In SS/18 SOCIETY319 within the primus universe, the origin story focuses on a complex social group that collapsed and regressed to enter a new era of primordial existence in a post-apocalyptic order and chaos.

All collections released after SOCIETY319 from "S1-2/1802_AW/CONTINUUS", to "S1-3/1901_SS/ADAM" down to their latest offering "S2-1 Prologue/2101_01SS/LOWER PLANETARY", HAMCUS remains true to the task of creating a unique universe for which they create characters and design apparels for these individual characters existing within their fictional universe.
